About

Lawyer and builder, working between regulated markets and the systems that serve them

Giorgio Alessandro Donà-Danioni is a lawyer and a builder. His practice sits at the intersection of financial regulation, emerging technology, and climate finance; his technical work sits at the intersection of data engineering, product design, and on-chain forensics.

On the legal side, he is Head of Legal Affairs at Noemon Money, Senior Advisor to Bitwyre in the GCC region, and Founder of G.A.D.D. Legal, a boutique international practice based in Dubai. He is admitted to the Italian and Spanish bars and is active across the UAE, Cyprus, Switzerland, the UK, the EU, Italy, Spain, and Japan.

On the technical side, he works as an independent developer, product architect, and data architect. His current project is blockchainanalysis.io, a forensic analytics platform for on-chain intelligence that he is building from the ground up - from the data pipelines and address clustering models to the product architecture and user interface.

His previous roles include President of KCG (ADGM), Chief of Legal at Carbonmark, President of KlimaDAO Japan, and Co-Founder of KlimaDAO, one of the first on-chain voluntary carbon market protocols. Earlier in his career he served as Head of the Legal Department of the Ricasoli Group, Junior Partner at SDG & Partners, and legal consultant at Studio Pirola, Pennuto, Zei & Associati in Milan. In 2022 he contributed to the legislative consultation process behind the Lummis-Gillibrand Responsible Financial Innovation Act.

He has spoken at ADIPEC, WebX Tokyo, ETH Dubai, and DAO Tokyo, and co-authored Blockchain Masterclass with Michele Facchini for AIEP Editore, with a foreword by Avv. Carlo Piana.

Two sides of the same practice

The legal side covers cryptocurrency regulation and digital asset licensing across the UAE, Cyprus, Switzerland, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the European Union, with particular attention to the MiCA framework and the distinction between asset-referenced tokens, e-money tokens, and other crypto-assets under Titles II and III. The practice also covers voluntary carbon markets, Swiss regulatory pathways through VQF, FINMA, and FinIG, and DIFC and ADGM commercial structures for regulated digital asset operators.

The technical side is built on the same subject-matter expertise seen from the other side of the wall. Giorgio develops, architects products, and designs data infrastructure for on-chain analytics. The current flagship is blockchainanalysis.io, an on-chain forensic analytics platform he is building end-to-end: data pipelines ingesting EVM, Solana, and Bitcoin activity; address clustering and attribution models; the product architecture; and the user interface. Stack: Python, SQL, TypeScript, and a healthy respect for the original data.
