In November 2021, Giorgio took part in a fireside chat at the Efforce event in Dubai, hosted in partnership with Silent Unicorn. The session covered Efforce, the decentralized platform for energy-efficiency investments co-founded by Steve Wozniak, and the legal and regulatory architecture that allows the performance of a retrofit project to be represented as an on-chain asset.
The conversation, held in front of a Gulf-centric audience, focused on how token-based mechanisms can channel capital into real-world energy savings and how such instruments interact with regional compliance frameworks. The event is the earliest public appearance documented on this site and set the pattern for much of the later work on voluntary environmental markets.
