Giorgio attended the IETA Asia Climate Summit 2023, held from 24 to 26 October at the Toranomon Hills Forum in Tokyo. IETA, the International Emissions Trading Association, is the principal industry forum bringing together governments, banks, commodity houses, and project developers that operate in the world's compliance and voluntary carbon markets.
The Tokyo edition focused on the evolving Article 6 framework, the integration of Japanese institutional capital, and the path for higher-integrity voluntary carbon markets across Asia. For Giorgio, the summit was an opportunity to interface directly with the traditional market participants that on-chain infrastructure is being designed to serve, and to signal the arrival of tokenized carbon market infrastructure into the conversations that shape the region's compliance flows.
