At WebX Tokyo, the largest Asian Web3 conference of 2023, Giorgio joined a panel dedicated to regenerative finance and decentralized science. The session, titled 'ReFi and DeSci: Can Degens Save the Planet?', examined whether crypto-native capital allocation mechanisms can be redirected toward climate outcomes and open research.
Speaking as Co-Founder of KlimaDAO, Giorgio discussed how on-chain carbon retirement protocols had grown from an experiment into meaningful tonnage, and outlined the legal architecture that made it possible for a DAO to interact with off-chain registries and institutional counterparties. The panel also included Hope Lee, founder of ReFi Korea, and other ReFi-space practitioners.
